Meet the Team
Devendra Meena, DPhil
Group Leader
Dev is an Assistant Professor at HGU, ISI, Kolkata. He is primarily interested in understanding the genomic basis of cardiovascular diseases and their risk factors, particularly Atherosclerosis. Dev likes playing cricket, badminton, tennis, table tennis, and cycling.
Aditya Sinha
Summer Intern
Aditya is an undergraduate student (BCA) at Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra, India. His interests lie in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computational biology. He enjoys exploring research problems and learning about emerging areas in computer science and data-driven technologies.
Mohammed Shimal K
PhD candidate
Shimal joined the group in July 2026. He holds a B.S-M.S degree in Biology from the University of Calicut, where he graduated as the First Rank holder. He qualified the CSIR-UGC NET with JRF (AIR 101) and GATE-XL. He is passionate about exploring the frontiers of genomics and is developing expertise in computational approaches for understanding the genetic basis of cardiovascular diseases. Outside of academia, he enjoys trekking and is big fan of sci-fi movies and open world games.
