I recently had the privilege of serving as a resource person at the Workshop on Bioinformatics & Computational Data Analysis organized by the Department of Zoology at Sikkim University. It was a truly enriching experience to interact with enthusiastic students, research scholars, and faculty members who are keen to explore the growing interface between biology and computational sciences.
Bioinformatics and computational data analysis have become indispensable tools in modern biological research. During the workshop, I had the opportunity to share my knowledge and practical insights on how computational approaches can help analyze complex biological datasets, interpret results more effectively, and open new avenues for scientific discovery. The interactive sessions, thoughtful questions, and engaging discussions reflected the participants’ genuine interest and motivation to learn.
I was particularly impressed by the efforts of the Department of Zoology at Sikkim University in organizing such a timely and relevant workshop. Creating platforms like this is essential for equipping young researchers with the skills required to thrive in today’s data-driven scientific landscape.
Workshops like these are not only about sharing knowledge but also about mutual learning, collaboration, and inspiration. I am grateful for the warm hospitality, excellent organization, and the opportunity to contribute in a small way to the academic community.
I look forward to future interactions and collaborations, and I wish all the participants the very best in their research journeys.
